“Morse is totally awesome!”
“They go the extra mile.”
“They genuinely care about the kids, neighborhood and community.”
Morse Elementary teachers and staff were treated to a free lunch on Monday. They also got to read some of the nice things said about them (above) and printed on a poster.
“This is the Gold Daisy School Award,” explained Jennifer So.
“We had parents in Troy and Clawson vote for their school and say nice things about why they love their school, why they love their teachers.”
“Morse Elementary won out of all the Troy and Clawson schools,” said So.
During their lunch breaks, the teachers came in to get their free lunch sponsored by local businesses. The sponsors also provided gift items and the teachers received a gift bag.
“The nicest thing about winning this prize, is that the teachers get to see the great things the community says about them,” said principal Stephanie Zendler.
“It’s a celebration for the teachers,” So said.
The poster continued:
“Outstanding school, great teachers!”
“The principal, teachers and staff go above and beyond every single day for our kids.”
… among many other compliments.
